Butrint
Situated between Greece and Italy, Butrint was an ancient seaport on the Ionian Sea, facing the island of Kerkyra (Corfu) on the mainland of Epeiros.
The city was said to have been founded by Trojans. According to Vergil (Aeneid 3.292-505), it was built as a small replica of Troy.
